Overview

Built features for an internal notification management system designed to handle high-volume WhatsApp notifications while reducing the risk of sender numbers being flagged for excessive messaging. The system uses queued processing and sender management to distribute notification workloads.

Internal payment notification system was used for approximately 6 months before migrating to Firebase

Challenges

  • High-volume WhatsApp notifications could cause sender numbers to be flagged as spam
  • Managing workload across multiple WhatsApp sender numbers
  • Handling queued notifications without sending every message directly in real time

Solutions

  • Used queue-based notification processing
  • Implemented sender workload management and temporary rest periods
